About this cause

Did you know?
1 in 20 children in Australia will experience the death of a parent before they turn 18 (ABS 2023). That’s roughly one child in every classroom across Victoria.

At Wombat's Wish, we’re here to support these children and young people through the toughest time of their lives. We provide free weekend grief programs, one-on-one counselling, and family social days—helping them find hope, healing, and connection after loss.

How you can help:
Join us for our fundraising walk and walk in memory of someone special. Every step helps raise vital funds for grieving children in Victoria.

Ways to get involved:

Collect sponsors for each lap or kilometre you walk
Form a team with family, friends or colleagues and walk together
Start a fundraising page using the link below and share your journey on social media
Can’t make it on the day? Walk at your local oval anytime and text your lap count to 0499 996 228 to be added to our tally
Get your school involved by running a walkathon or fundraiser in the lead-up to the event
Together, we can make sure no child walks through grief alone.
