In October, I’ll be taking on my first half marathon, running 21.1km around Perth — and I’ve decided to do it for a cause that means a lot to me: helping rescue dogs find the loving homes they deserve.

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. I’ve recently started getting involved with volunteering at the Dogs’ Refuge Home of WA, and seeing the incredible work they do for dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered or are waiting for their forever homes has made me want to do something more.

I have just 6 weeks to train for the half marathon, so there will definitely be some challenging runs ahead! 🏃‍♀️🐶

My goal is to raise $1,000 to help support the Dogs’ Refuge Home and the care they provide to dogs in need.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Even $5 can help, and together we can turn 21.1km of running into something that makes a real difference to the lives of rescue dogs. ❤️

Thank you so much for supporting me and, most importantly, supporting the dogs! 🐾
