Bridge to Bridge (250 km)

Supporting Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation

Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation

Supporting bone marrow transplant patients

Back to the Upper Murray to do Day 2 & Day 3 after the poor outcome of Day 1. Didn't quite get a third of the course done on Day 1 but did manage to put my boat on the bottom of the river, wrapped around a log. Well I get to do another two days, and those who missed out on giving support at Christmas have an opportunity to do it at Easter. The Arrow Foundations' mission is to help people to under go bone marrow transpalants, especially kids with leukaemia. Over the past  six years together we have raised more than $20,000 for the foundation.

Background to the B2B is that during my secondary education I failed a few things (French in Year 9), but I never failed to cross the Murray River twice every day for six years. First at Brigenbrong Bridge (Khancoban to Corryong) and then at Union Bridge (Albury to Wodonga). The aim of the paddle is to link the bridges, even if it takes two attempts..

Thanks for you help and generosity.

Sorry to hear about your boat Wennie, but the trip still looked fantastic anyway, I really felt like I was there watching this bit when reading it... "There I was standing on a branch up to my waist in water and my kayak at my feet being forced further under the water and the two ends gradually getting closer to each other as the water force caused the boat to fold in the middle." Kind regards Craig.
