From Jan 1st 2025 I decided to take on a mammoth task. I will run every single suburban street in Canberra, ACT. You can track my progress on IG @everystreetmatters 

‘Every street matters’ has a double meaning for me. I plan on using this platform and challenge to raise awareness and support for local domestic/family violence and sexual assault charities. Domestic and sexual violence is in every single street. It’s in your street, it’s in the fancy streets and its in the lower socio economic streets. No street is immune to it.

This is personal for me as well. I am a survivor of sexual assault and domestic violence. The Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT were instrumental in helping me exit a relationship safely. Frontline services like these guys are severely underfunded.

For my own mental health journey it also matters that I do this. I’m am a multiple survivor of domestic/family violence and sexual assault.  I heal a little more for every street I complete. I love the person that running makes me.
