In the month of April, I will be attempting to swim 40km in order to fundraise for Open Doors Youth Service. This is the equivalent of 4 marathon swims and amounts to 1,600 laps in a standard pool. It will be by far the most I have ever swam in such a short time period. I hope to raise $15 for every km I swim, totalling $600. I hope you will sponsor me to raise money for this amazing cause.

Open Doors Youth Service is a Queensland based charity that supports LGBTQ+ young people by providing safe spaces, healthcare, mental health services, housing support services, family mediation, educational resources and addiction support. It is also the only Queensland based charity with dedicated Sistergirl and Brotherboy (SB) services. Last year, Open Doors Youth Service helped 547 young people, providing 2,835 occasions of service. Around 10% of this was provided to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and ~25% was provided to young people with a disability.
