Autistic children often face various challenges around communication, social interaction, and sensory sensitivities that may make it difficult for them to engage in activities that neurotypical children thrive in.

I love that Ocean Heroes provides a safe and fun enviroment for autistic children to develop confidence and connection with other peers through their free surf classes organised around Australia. Running these events is costly and relies heavily on community support. 

On 21 June 2025, I will go through my own challenge by attempting my first 100 miler ultra marathon, the Cape 2 Cape Ultra (https://www.cape2capeultra.com.au/), which will take me on an incredible journey from Augusta to Eagle Bay along the Cape 2 Cape track!

I would like to take this challenge as an opportunity to give back to Ocean Heroes by fundraising for their great cause. I will be specifically fundraising for Ocean Heroes to purchase a new SUP surf board (valued at 2000 AUD), which will give another child the opportunity to participate in a free surf lesson.
