Every year, ORRCA’s 24/7 rescue hotline answers thousands of calls for help. In 2025 alone, we took over 2,400 calls, coordinated 900+ incidents and responded to 58 marine mammal entanglements - a 93% increase in call volume compared to the same time last year.
Behind each call is a marine animal in need, and a trained rescue team ready to respond. As demand grows, so does the pressure on our hotline, equipment and training.
We’re asking for your support to keep this critical lifeline running in 2026. It costs just $82 a day to operate our hotline, and with no external funding, we rely entirely on donations. A contribution towards our $30,000 goal will secure the hotline and incident response systems for the year ahead, ensuring help is always within reach.
