We are honoured to present the critically acclaimed documentary The Story of Souleymane (more on the film here), which follows the remarkable journey of a young refugee navigating the complexities of displacement, resilience, and finding home. This powerful film has garnered international recognition, including three awards at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, 15 awards across the globe and 14 nominations at multiple world-wide festivals. Director Boris Lojkine crafts a narrative through the eyes of a Souleymane, a young man seeking asylum in Paris with two days to prepare for an immigration interview.
Adding to the film’s incredible power is the real-life situation of its lead debut-actor, who has been denied citizenship by French authorities. Three times.
We welcome you to bring a guest to share this special evening.
Please reserve your tickets by 15 May so we can prepare accordingly.
With deepest appreciation,
The CARAD Team
